The Dubai developer Nakheel has confirmed that it has sold 2 more islands on its landmark The World project at an average of $65 million (Dh238.7m) each during July and August of this year, which now leaves just 4 islands on the market.
The Managing Director at Nakheel Projects stated that The World continues to be recognised by developers as a very attractive project given its differentiated offering and its proximity to emerging markets such as India, China, Russia and the Middle East.
Prices of islands on The World in Dubai tend to range between $15m and $50m, with the most expensive island priced at more than $200m. Land sizes vary from 14,000 sq m to 42,000 sqm.
Created off the coast of Dubai, the project is expected to add nearly 232 kilometres of new beachfront to Dubai’s coastline.
