Emirates has confirmed that it will begin flying its second daily A380 service from Heathrow to Dubai 2 weeks ahead of schedule after taking an early delivery from Airbus.
The flights from Heathrow to Dubai will begin operating on 15th June 2010 on Emirates’ 20.40hrs (EK004) service from Heathrow.
Emirates already operates the A380 on its 14.15hrs departure (Flight EK002) from Heathrow Airport.
Emirates’ vice president for the UK & Ireland, Conrad Clifford said:
“Our passengers are giving the A380 rave reviews and we’re delighted to be able to introduce a second super jumbo service from London earlier than planned.”
On 1st September 2010, Emirates will also be introducing a daily A380 mega jumbo jet service from Manchester to Dubai – the first time an airline has operated the ‘superjumbo’ from a regional airport.
The 517 seat mega jumbo offers 14 flat-bed First Class Private Suites, with electrically operated doors, and 76 fully-flat seats in Business Class, all with mini bars and aisle access.
