Emirates has become the next airline to launch flights to Iraq’s capital Baghdad on 13th November.
The route, from the airline’s hub at Dubai Airport, is the carrier’s 2nd to the country after Basra flights, which were launched in February.
Other Gulf carriers to serve Baghdad are Etihad and Gulf Air. Emirates flies the 1,400-kilometre route 4 times weekly with A330-200 aircraft, while competition comes from Iraqi Airways’ daily flights.
