Flydubai introduces Windows 8 Tablet Chech-inWindows Tablets for Check in at Flydubai

The Windows 8 App developed for flydubai is a regional first, enabling staff to check-in passengers on-the-go

Flydubai travelers can now step into Dubai airport and get checked in through a windows tablet.

Flydubai have said that it has become the first airline in the region to introduce a facility where users will be able to check you in within 2 minutes.

Airline staff armed with a Windows 8 powered tablet will arrive as you are standing in the queue and check you in. All passengers will have to do is drop off their bags at the counter.

Microsoft Gulf and flydubai made the announcement about the use of the Windows 8 application at Dubai Airport Terminal 2 which has been the home base of the airline.

Alex Mackenzie, flydubai’s Airport Services Senior Vice President, said:

“We are confident this new product (tablet-based App) will help make our customers’ journeys easier and will help us reduce peak waiting times at check in for our customers at Dubai airport,”

The App connects to the airline’s backend services and is integrated with a passport scanner and printer.
