Budget airline Flydubai has continued to expand its presence in Africa by inaugurating its 7th route to the continent. Flydubai flight FZ647 is scheduled to fly 3 times a week on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays with the airline’s single fleet of 189 seat 737-800s to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia’s capital city and touched down at Bole International Airport at 19:15 (local time) from Dubai Airport’s Terminal 2 which is at a distance of just over 2,500 kilometres.
Flydubai first ventured into Africa in September 2009 with flights to Djibouti and now Addis Ababa is Flydubai’s seventh destination in Africa. The low-cost carrier has since added flights from Dubai to Alexandria, Dubai to Sohag, Dubai to Luxor, Dubai to Port Sudan and Dubai to Khartoum to their rapidly expanding network.
