Dubai International Airport provides a variety of bus services that run from all of the terminal buildings into the city centre and over 80 hotels. In the sections below we have included dedicated information on getting a bus from Dubai Airport.
Dubai Airport Bus to Dubai City Centre
Buses at Dubai Airport arrive and leave from stands opposite Terminal 1, 2 and 3. Please be aware that you will need to buy a Nol card in advance as you can not pay cash to the driver.
The Dubai Bus fleet is made up of just over 157 buses. These buses operate on 26 Dubai Metro Feeder routes out of the 92 inner routes covering 85% of Dubai’s urban districts
Volumes for the Dubai Airport bus Service are adjusted accordingly on Fridays and public holidays in relation to passenger demand.
The Dubai bus fleet consists of very high quality custom-built buses which are equipped with comfortable seats with dedicated ones for ladies and children, air-conditioning, special needs facilities, electronically operated destination display system and computerized fare equipment.

Dubai Airport Terminal Transfer Buses
Free shuttle buses operate at Dubai Airport daily to assist passengers that need to transfer betweeen Terminals. A free shuttle bus at Dubai Airport runs between Terminals 1, 2 and 3 every 20 mins, 24 hrs a day and takes around 5-10 minutes.
The bus stop at Dubai Airport Terminal 3 is on the upper/departures level outside Entrance 3. The bus stop at Terminal 1 is on the upper level between the arrivals and departures buildings and opposite the blue ‘Dubai Airports’ sign.
Emirates and Etihad offer a complimentary coach service, they operate 3 daily services to and from Al Ain, and 4 daily to and from Abu Dhabi.
You can also use the Dubai Metro between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3.
If you have a connecting flight then you will automatically be transferred as part of your flight connection at Dubai Airport.
Public Transport Buses in Dubai
The Public Bus Transport system in Dubai is operated by the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) and consists of 734 peak bus schedules which are run on 79 bus routes covering over 264,000 km on certain working days. Service volumes are adjusted accordingly on Fridays and public holidays to meet with passenger demand.
Well over 300,000 passengers per day use the Dubai public transport system and the bus routes themselves serve an area of 4,110 square km within the Emirate of Dubai.
The majority of buses in Dubai have a total passenger capacity of 61 which are made up of 51 seats and room for 10 standing passengers. The bus fleet is maintained at two high-tech bus depots located in Al Qusais and Al Awir.
Dubai Night Buses
The Dubai night bus service was introduced to provide a 24 hour bus service in Dubai. The service runs between 23:30 at night until 06:00 in the morning.
The night bus in Dubai provides a safe and convenient transport service that covers all the major destinations in Dubai city and operates with a frequency of every 30 minutes to maintain a comfortable service with short waiting periods.
The late night bus service in Dubai covers all major bus stations including: Al Rashidiya bus station, Gubaiba bus station, Al Qusais bus station, Jabel Ali Free Zone bus station, Gold Souq bus station, and Satwa bus station. It also passes by some important places such as the Al Karama area, Dubai Airport Terminal 2, Dubai Marina, and the Greens.
The service is particularly targeted to people on the go at night and offers passengers a safe and affordable way to travel through the entire city whether it be for people coming home from shopping or the cinema or even from work late at night, everyone can enjoy the bus in the same way as during the day.
Routes To Serve Dubai Airport and the Dubai Metro
On the 1st of September 2009, 17 new bus routes in the emirate of Dubai were introduced as feeder services for the Dubai Metro.
The 17 routes serve the metro stations of Rashidiya, Financial Center, Mall of the Emirates and Nakheel Harbor & Tower at Dubai Marina. The buses travel across several areas in Dubai which makes travelling by public transport in Dubai a speedy, smooth and effective experience.

Bus Routes F1 to F5
F1Route:
Starts from Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Rashidiya metro station via Nad Al Hummer. 6 buses are used on this route to provide shuttle services from Saturday to Thursday, 4 buses are used on Fridays and holidays at 10 minute intervals.
F2 Route:
Starts from Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Rashidiya metro station. 3 buses are used on this route from Saturday to Thursday, and 2 on Fridays and holidays at 10 minute intervals.
F3 Route:
Starts from Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Rashidiya metro station via West Midriff. 4 buses are used on this route during all week days at 10 minute intervals.
F4 Route:
Starts from Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Rashidiya metro station via East Midriff. 6 buses are used on this route from Saturday to Thursday, and 3 on Fridays and holidays at 10 minute intervals.
F5 Route:
Starts from Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Rashidiya metro station via Mizhar. 6 buses are used on this route on Saturdays, 10 buses from Sunday to Thursday, and 7 buses on Fridays and holidays at 10 minute intervals.
Routes F6 to F10
F6 Route:
Starts from Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Dubai Airport Terminal 3 metro station via Al Tawar 3. 4 buses are used on this route on Saturdays, and 5 buses from Sunday to Thursday. The service runs from 9.00am until 8.00pm.
F7 Route:
Starts from Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Dubai Airport Terminal 3 metro station via Al Garhoud 3. 4 buses are used on this route on Saturdays, and 4 buses from Sunday to Thursday. The service runs from 9.00am until 8.00pm.
F8 Route:
Starts from Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Dubai Airport Terminal 3 metro station via Al Qusais 1. 5 buses are used on this route on Saturdays, and 5 buses from Sunday to Thursday. The service runs from 9.00am until 8.00pm.
F9 Route:
Starts from Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Dubai Airport Terminal 3 metro station via Festival City. 4 buses are used on this route on Saturdays, and 5 buses from Sunday to Thursday. The service runs from 9.00am until 8.00pm.
F10 Route:
Starts from Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Rashidiya metro station via Al Warqa. 9 buses are used on this route on Saturdays, 7 buses from Sunday to Thursday, and 5 buses on Fridays and holidays at 10 minute intervals.
Bus Routes F11 to F30
F11 Route:
Starts from Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Satwa Bus Station & Khazzan Park which passes through 3 Metro Stations, these are Trade Center, Emirates Towers and Dubai International Financial Center. 5 buses are used on this route on Saturdays, 3 buses on Fridays and holidays, and 5 buses from Sunday to Thursday.
F13 Route:
Starts from Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Financial Center station. 4 buses are used on this route on Fridays, Saturdays and holidays, while 5 buses operate from Sunday to Thursday at 10 minute intervals.
F29 Route:
Starts from Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Mall of the Emirates metro station via Al Barsha 2. 6 buses are used on this route from Saturday to Thursday, and 5 during Fridays and holidays at 10 minute intervals.
F30 Route:
Starts from Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Mall of the Emirates metro station via Arabian Ranches. 7 buses are used on this route on Saturdays, 6 buses from Sunday to Thursday, and 5 buses on Fridays and holidays at 10 minute intervals.
Routes F31 to F999
F31 Route:
Starts from Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Mall of the Emirates metro station via Eastern Meadows. 8 buses are used on this route on Saturdays, 11 buses from Sunday to Thursday, and 6 buses on Fridays and holidays at 10 minute intervals.
F33 Route:
Starts from Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Mall of the Emirates metro station via Al Barsha 3. 5 buses are used on this route from Saturday to Thursday, and 3 buses on Fridays and holidays at 10 minute intervals.
F37 Route:
Starts from Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Nakheel Harbor & Tower metro station via Dubai Marina. 5 buses are used on this route on Saturdays & Fridays, and 7 buses from Sunday to Thursday at 10 minute intervals.
F48 Route:
Starts from Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Ibn Battuta metro station via Dubai Investment Park. 12 buses are used on this route on Saturdays, 9 buses on Fridays and holidays, and 14 buses from Sunday to Thursday at 10 minute intervals.
F999 Route:
This is a free of charge service that was launched on 5 September 2009. It starts from Rowaya Bus Depot Station and heads to Nakheel Harbor & Tower metro station. 11 buses are used on this route on all week days at 10 minute intervals.
Inter-Emirates Buses
This Dubai inter emirate bus service covers the public need for group transport through 11 routes that connect the Emirate of Dubai with the other emirates through 12 take-off points and 17 drop-off points The Total number of buses in this fleet is more than 277 with various capacities. Shifts at the main stations are scheduled from 06:00am – 12:00am
The average number of passengers which currently use the Inter-Emirates buses in Dubai is over 1.6 million per month, which are transported from Dubai to Different Emirates Cities.

It goes without saying that you should always remember to check that you have all of your belongings at the end of each journey, however, if you do happen to accidentally leave something on the bus, the driver will hand the item to the Police if it is not claimed before hand.

Etiquette on Dubai Buses
Important information and instructions for people using Dubai public buses:
• While waiting at the bus stop, stay clear of the bus stopping area. Please signal the bus to stop.
• Stay away from the bus doors until the driver opens them to allow you to board the bus.
• Board the bus through the front door and alight from the rear. Ladies and children may alight from the front door.
• If you have a bus pass you must present it for scrutiny by the driver. Smartcards can be passed over the ticket machine to obtain tickets . Passengers without tickets are liable for prosecution.
• Present your Smart Card for inspection by the representatives of Public Transport.
• Three rows of seats in the front of the bus are reserved for lady passengers.
• Do not engage the bus driver in conversation or arguments.
Further Things to consider
• Do not eat, drink or smoke in the bus.
• Do not throw any litter or spit through the bus windows.
• Do not vandalise the interior of the bus.
• Bulky luggage or hazardous materials and animals are not allowed inside the bus.
• Do not play or operate any musical instrument or sound reproducing equipment to the annoyance of co-passengers or the bus driver.
• Do not place your luggage in the gangway.
• Do not make announcements or distribute any leaflets, brochures, books, products or gifts as part of a commercial, political or religious campaign.
• Do not beg or solicit any favours while on the bus.
• If you wish to alight at an authorized bus stop, press the stop bells.
• Do not attempt to leave the bus until the bus comes to a complete halt.
• Do not use the emergency door unless permitted or instructed to do so by the bus driver.
