Important Notes Before Flying to Dubai

If you are planning to book or have already booked a flight to dubai airport then please read through the check list below which includes information that you should be aware of before flying to Dubai to ensure that your transit to and from dubai airport is a smooth one and hassle free.

  • Do not carry liquids in excess of 100 ml.
  • Each container should not exceed 100 ml
  • Use a clear, resealable plastic bag to carry any liquids in
  • Place your clear resealable bag in your hand luggage
  • Maximum 1 litre capacity is allowed
  • Pack any personal belongings in your hand luggage.
  • Place laptops in an easily retrievable location as you will be asked to place this in the trays provided at the security checkpoint at the Airport.
  • Always check with the airline you are travelling with to familiarise yourself with baggage allowances.
  • Generally 2 pieces of baggage are allowed for international travel with the weight of each piece not exceeding 32 kilograms, however this may vary by airline and by fare type.
  • Excess baggage must be repacked and excess baggage fees typically apply.
  • Always remove old baggage tags as they may cause the baggage system at to reject the luggage it is attached to.
  • Avoid using cardboard boxes as they must be processed manually (which takes more time) and are not durable.
  • It is always advisable to arrange travel insurance before travelling to Dubai or any other destination worldwide.
